Today is Free Slurpee Day

Dallas, July 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Today is the 83rd birth anniversary of 7-Eleven. And as per tradition the convenience stores are going to celebrate the anniversary by giving away a free Slurpee to their customers. Since the last 8 years, 7-Eleven has been sharing the joy of their anniversary by offering their customers their favorite Slurpee.
According to reports on the 11th of July all the stores of the 7-Eleven in the nations of US and Canada are going to serve a whooping 5 million Slurpee’s to their esteemed customers. And in honor of their 83rd birthday, the company has also got specially designed birthday cups, in which they shall serve the free birthday Slurpee.
And that is not all, because there are going to be other events as well in honor of the humble frozen beverage. There are going to be music shows and a food sampling function as well. 7-Eleven is going to host its annual ‘Slurpee Battle of the Bands’ in which there are 12 musical group participants. They would showcase their talent, in the event which would also start off today. And the Slurpee fans can also help to judge the event by logging on to the Facebook page of Slurpee and voting for their favorite band.
