Technical snag hits Delhi Metro
December 16th, 2010 - 9:12 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 16 (IANS) Thousands of commuters had a harrowing time Thursday after a technical snag hit Delhi Metro’s Jahangirpuri-Huda City Centre network. The train services were affected just before 11 a.m. following a failure in the computerized signalling system, a Delhi Metro spokesperson said. It was eventually set right before noon, the official said.
But because trains ceased to ply on one section of the route, it led to a shortage of trains on the parallel section too, causing discomfort to thousands of people.
Many Metro commuters turned to buses and autorickshaws to reach their destinations.
