New Delhi, Dec 16 (IANS) Thousands of commuters had a harrowing time Thursday after a technical snag hit Delhi Metro’s Jahangirpuri-Huda City Centre network. The train services were affected just before 11 a.m. following a failure in the computerized signalling system, a Delhi Metro spokesperson said. It was eventually set right before noon, the official said.

But because trains ceased to ply on one section of the route, it led to a shortage of trains on the parallel section too, causing discomfort to thousands of people.

Many Metro commuters turned to buses and autorickshaws to reach their destinations.

In recent weeks there have several incidents of technical snags disrupting Metro services, especially during morning and evening peak hours.
