Tata Chemicals re-brands global subsidiaries
April 1st, 2011 - 7:58 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, April 1 (IANS) Tata Chemicals Limited (TCL), part of the $67.4 billion Tata Group, Friday announced a major re-branding initiative, embracing its subsidiaries in Britain, the US and Kenya under the Tata Chemicals Corporate brand.
According to a company release here, this move of creating a common global identity was envisaged to strengthen the Tata Chemicals brand across the globe.
Following the operational integration across the subsidiaries, the move would open up opportunities for the company to be more customer-centric with a strong supply chain capability spanning four continents under a common corporate brand, the release said.
Speaking on this change, Tata Chemicals managing director R. Mukundan said: “This transition demonstrates Tata Chemicals’ intention to build a strong and sustainable global Tata Chemicals brand.”
“Tata Chemicals has manufacturing operations across four continents and will be working with a common mission to provide innovative products and services to various customer segments across the world. This signals an important milestone in the evolution of the Tata Chemicals brand, where close to 40 percent of the current consolidated revenues come from outside India,” he added.
