Synchron founder Shivprakash gets Udyog Rattan AwardJuly 24th, 2008 - 7:17 pm ICT by IANS
Ahmedabad, July 24(IANS) Dr Shivprakash Rathnam, the founder and managing director of Synchron Research Services Pvt Ltd, a leading clinical research organisation based in Ahmedabad, has been honoured with the Udyog Rattan award by the Delhi-based Institute of Economic Studies. The award was presented at a function in Delhi July 16 by Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jhakkar in the presence of Dr Bishma Narain Singh, former governor, and G.V.G. Krishnamurthy, former election commissioner of India.
Rathnam joins the ranks of other leading Indian industrialists who have received this honour. The Institute of Economic Studies had recently awarded Synchron an excellence award for outstanding performance in productivity, quality, innovation and management.
The award to Rathnam was in recognition of his contribution to the development of the clinical research industry in India.
The Udyog Rattan Award and the Award for Excellence are conferred by the Institute of Economic Studies every year. The institute closely monitors various facets of the economy and the individual contributions made by various companies and business leaders; then a panel from the institute and across the country form the jury in order to select the winners.
