May 8, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): A female has sued the Starbucks cafe series in the US. The raison d’être for the female taking Starbucks to court is that Starbucks seemingly supplied unduly searing tea to her. The female has proclaimed that she received second-degree burns because of the exceedingly hot tea.

Zeynep Inanli, in her lawsuit for undetermined reimbursement in a New York courthouse, mentioned that she was served tea that was unduly searing in containers, which were not harmless. The phrase ‘unreasonably hot tea’ has been mentioned in the lawsuit. This data was reported by Telegraph.

Inanli, who was dished up tea at a Starbucks outlet on Third Avenue in Manhattan, has asserted that she has endured massive bodily pain and psychological agony as well as the burns because of the tremendously hot tea.

Starbucks has not yet reacted publicly to the court case.

There have been comparable lawsuits earlier.

A panel of adjudicators in 1994 instructed McDonald’s to shell out $2.9 million to a New Mexico lady, who asserted that she burnt herself with the restaurant’s coffee. The parties later arrived at reconciliation.
