Sri Lanka to hold export meet

Colombo, March 8 (IANS) Sri Lanka will hold an export exhibition this month to attract foreign investors, Xinhua reported Thursday.

The expo themed “Partnering with the Hub of Asia” will be held March 28-31. It will showcase products and services to visitors, including overseas investors.

Over 1,000 foreign participants, including businesses from the US, Britain, UAE, Singapore, Japan, China, Malaysia and Korea are expected to attend.

In addition, ministerial delegations from strategic markets such as Maldives, South Korea, China, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh will also attend.

Sri Lanka’s exports sector is expected to reach $12.5 billion this year, an official said.
