Srei posts Rs.26.58 crore net profit for second quarter

- Kolkata, Oct 26 (IANS) Non-banking financial company Srei Infrastructure Finance has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs.26.58 crore for the second quarter this fiscal, marginally up from Rs.26.18 crore reported in the like period last year.
The total consolidated income for the quarter ended Sep 30 was Rs.240.86 crore against Rs.247.24 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Srei’s consolidated disbursement during the quarter under review was Rs.2,635 crore as compared to Rs.2,870 crore a year ago.
“Our disbursement in the second quarter of the financial year has been reasonable at Rs.2,635 crore while the profits have also been decent. Economic growth that we saw during the first quarter has further gained momentum,” said Hemant Kanoria, chairman and managing director of the company.
“We are quite optimistic that our business in the next two quarters should reflect growth in tandem with the pick-up in the infrastructure investments in the country,” he added.
