Sreedharan inspects Metro’s airport express line
December 8th, 2010 - 10:11 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 8 (IANS) Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) managing director E. Sreedharan Wednesday inspected the high-speed airport express line and the work underway at some stations along the route, an official said.
He inspected the New Delhi, Shivaji Stadium, Airport and Dwarka Sector 21 Metro stations and the functioning of baggage handling facilities, Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) Gates, entrances of the stations and other interchange facilities for the smooth functioning of the stations.
“All efforts are being made to open this line in this month itself after getting the necessary safety clearances,” DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal said.
