Spanish budget deficit falls
December 21st, 2011 - 1:18 pm ICT by IANSMadrid, Dec 21 (IANS) The Spanish budget deficit stood at 4.8 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) by the end of November, down by 4.9 percent as against the same time a year ago, the Spanish Treasury said.
Spain’s new Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy confirmed Monday that his government will look to cut 16.5 billion euros from the public deficit in order to reach the level of 4.4 percent by the end of 2012 as agreed with the EU at the end of October, reported Xinhua.
