Jan 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Recently, the Southwest Airlines announced a new program that will earn buyers points on the basis of the cost of the tickets and the type of plane fare that they would avail. This new system is being counted as a part of their new Rapid Rewards program that the airline announced on Thursday. The system prior to this latest announcement was an old one which has continued to benefit Southwest Airline loyal customers for the past several years. As to how people will respond to the new scheme will be only be clear in the due course of time. The airline has refused to disclose the number of participants in the new program.
The new business scheme is definite to reap benefits for the airline. However, without commenting much on the business strategy, the airline officials instead spoke on how their customers will be benefited through this policy. They revealed that the ones who will have the maximum profits will be the business travelers who often cancel their flights at the last moment and pay pricey tickets.
