The National Endowment for Financial Education® (NEFE®) is an independent, nonprofit foundation committed to educating Americans on a broad range of financial topics and empowering them to make positive and sound decisions to reach their financial goals.

NEFE accomplishes its mission primarily by partnering with other concerned organizations to provide financial materials to members of the public. For more than 30 years, NEFE has been providing funding, logistical support, and personal finance expertise to develop a variety of materials and programs, such as the Smart About Money public awareness campaign and the website Smartaboutmoney.org.

While their foundation works to provide education and information to people facing numerous financial challenges, they do not provide one-on-one counseling or advice on investing, debt consolidation, and debt management, or offer advice to individual consumers regarding their special circumstances.
