Skoda launches new Laura RS
September 20th, 2011 - 7:21 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 20 (IANS) Volkswagen group company Škoda Auto India Tuesday launched a new model of its luxury sedan Laura RS priced at Rs.1,549,000 (ex-Showroom Delhi).
“Laura RS, with its superior technology is aimed at car enthusiasts who have an emotional connect with their car,” said Tarun Jha, marketing head, ŠkodaAuto India.
According to Jha, the car entails latest design and technology for optimal performance.
“The new Laura RS is an epitome of performance, aesthetic design, safety and comfort all packaged in one vehicle,” Jha said.
The car is powered by a 1.8 TSI petrol engine with a power output of 118 kilowatt coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.
“The engine guarantees an exceptional performance and at the same time provides efficient fuel consumption,” the company said in a statement.
The interior of the car comes with sporty Alcantara leather seats with lateral support and an RS emblem set the tone for the interiors.
