Shimla airport shut for eighth day
June 30th, 2011 - 2:47 pm ICT by IANSShimla, June 30 (IANS) Air connectivity to the Himachal Pradesh capital remained snapped for the eighth consecutive day Thursday owing to torrential rains, an official said here.
“Flights between Delhi and Shimla remained grounded this (Thursday) morning also,” an official of the Kingfisher Airlines told IANS.
The airline operates the only commercial service to the Himachal capital. The daily flight from Delhi arrives here at 10.45 a.m. and departs at 11.30 a.m.
