Sharjah keen to associate with Kerala’s Technopark
February 5th, 2011 - 12:19 am ICT by IANSThiruvananthapuram, Feb 4 (IANS) A delegation from Sharjah Friday visited the Technopark - home to over 200 IT companies - and expressed their desire to associate with it. Rashid Al Leem, the director general of Sharjah’s Hamariyah Free Zone Authority, who was leading the team, commended the infrastructure created by Technopark for IT/ITES companies and expressed his interest in entering into mutual collaboration with Technopark by signing a formal memorandum of understanding for co-operation.
“Kerala enjoys a special mention in the development of Gulf region and has an age-old relationship with it. Hamariyah Free Zone can play a greater role in furthering the growth of both Kerala and Sharjah in particular,” said Leem.
Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander said they are looking forward to long lasting relations with Hamariyah Free Zone and will together discuss and work ways to ensure a good association.
