Set standards for rural roads: Nitish Kumar
November 15th, 2009 - 1:15 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Patna, Nov 14 (IANS) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar urged the Indian Road Congress (IRC) to set standards for rural roads and chalk out a work plan for maintenance of all kinds of roads across the country. The 70th session began here Saturday.
Inaugurating the session, Nitish Kumar said that engineers and experts attending the meet should set standards for rural roads, on the pattern of those for the national highways.
About 2,000 delegates, including 700 from Bihar, are attending the conference.
