Sensex slips 84 points in early trade

Mumbai, Nov 12 (IANS) A benchmark index of Indian equities Friday fell 84 points soon after the opening bell.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 20,529.74 points, was ruling at 20,505.08 points - down 84.01 points or 0.41 percent from its previous close at 20,589.09 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was trading at 6,174.45 points, down 0.39 percent.
Broader markets indices were mixed, with the BSE madcap index ruling flat while the BSE smallcap index moved up 0.36 percent.
