Sensex opens weak, down 0.38 percent in early trade

Mumbai, Nov 3 (IANS) A key index of the Indian equities markets started on a weak note Tuesday and was ruling 0.38 percent in the red about ten minutes into trade.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened lower at 15,838.63 points and, about 10 minutes after opening bell, was at 15,836.12 points, 0.38 percent or 60.16 points below its previous close at 15,896.28 points.
Around the same time, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also in the negative zone at 4,686.95 points, down 0.53 percent from its last close.
Broader market indices were in the red as well, with the BSE midcap index 0.44 percent down, while the BSE small cap index was trading 0.8 percent lower.
