Sensex moves up 80 points in morning trade

Mumbai, Sep 22 (IANS) A benchmark index of Indian equities Wednesday moved up further after scaling the 20,000-point mark in the previous session.
Soon after the opening bell, the 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 20,039.43, was up 64.57 points or 0.32 percent at 20,066.12 points, from its previous close at 20,001.55 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was ruling at 6,024 points, up 0.21 percent.
Broader markets indices were also in the green. The BSE midcap was trading 0.31 percent up and the BSE smallcap index 0.38 percent higher.
