Sensex moderately up in early trade

Mumbai, March 28 (IANS) A benchmark index for Indian equities markets was Monday trading with moderate gains in the morning session.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 18,799.71 points, was ruling at 18,900.1 points, up 84.46 points or 0.45 percent from its previous close at 18,815.64 points.
The 50-scrip S&P; CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was trading 0.27 percent higher at 5,669.35 points.
Broader markets were also in the green, with the BSE midcap index up 0.51 percent and the BSE small cap index trading 0.6 percent higher.
