Sensex gives up opening highs

Mumbai, Nov 26 (IANS) A benchmark index of Indian equities Friday slipped from its opening highs to rule about 202 points lower after about 90 minutes of beginning of trade.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 19,391.96 points, was ruling at 19,115.28 points, down 202.88 points or 1.05 percent from its previous close at 19,318.16 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the 50-share S&P CNX Nifty was trading at 5,736.1 points, down 1.1 percent.
Broader markets indices suffered more losses, with the BSE midcap index ruling 4.29 percent down and the BSE smallcap index trading 4.77 perecent lower.
