Sensex flat in morning trade

Mumbai, April 25 (IANS) A benchmark index for Indian equities markets was muted in Monday morning session even as broader markets nudged up.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 19,538.52 points, was ruling at 19,616.06 points, up 13.83 points or 0.07 percent from its previous close at 19,602.23 points.
The 50-scrip S&P; CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was trading flat at 5,884.35 points.
Broader markets were ruling moderately up with the BSE midcap index up 0.29 percent and the BSE small cap index up 0.38 percent.
