Sensex ends marginally lower (Second Lead)

Mumbai, Dec 4 (IANS) A key Indian equities index shut shop marginally in the red Friday with major auto stocks coming under selling pressure.
The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that opened at 17,182.23 points closed at 17,127.76 points (provisional), down 57.92 points or 0.34 percent from Thursday’s close at 17,185.68 points.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty shut at 5,116.6 points, against the previous close at 5,131.7 points, a loss of 15.1 points or 0.29 percent.
Broader market indices ended mixed as the BSE midcap index closed 0.17 percent down, while the BSE small cap index ended 0.39 percent higher.
