Sensex dull in early trade

Mumbai, Jan 13 (IANS) A benchmark index for Indian equities markets Thursday was ruling 71 points lower in early trade.The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 19,492.3 points, was ruling at 19,462.57 points - down by 71.53 points or 0.37 percent from its previous close at 19,534.1 points.
The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange too was in the red, trading 21.35 points or 0.36 percent lower at 5,841.9 points.
Broader markets were, however, in the positive, with the BSE midcap index ruling 0.29 percent up and the BSE small cap index trading 0.37 percent higher.
