Sensex closes 132 points down (Lead)

Mumbai, June 10 (IANS) A benchmark index for Indian equities markets Friday ended 132 points lower than its previous close.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 18,390.41 points, closed at 18,253.15 points (provisional) — down 131.75 points or 0.72 percent from its previous close at 18,384.9 points.
The 50-scrip S&P; CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also ended at 5,484.6 points, down 0.66 percent.
Broader markets too ended in the red with the BSE midcap index closing 0.4 percent lower and the BSE smallcap index falling 0.54 percent.
