Seminar discusses UAE-Italy double taxation
November 28th, 2010 - 9:33 pm ICT by IANSDubai, Nov 28 (IANS/WAM) A seminar was organised here to familiarize the participants about various articles under the avoidance of double taxation agreement signed between the UAE and Italy, it was announced Sunday.
Representatives of the Italian Business Council and the UAE’s foreign ministry, among others, attended the meeting. It was aimed at strengthening the partnership between UAE and Italian businessmen.
Hamid Nasr, one of the panel members of the finance ministry, said that the “agreement has helped individuals to avoid paying taxes twice in two different countries”.
Italian Business Council president Ottavia Molinari said: “The articles of the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement between UAE and Italy are not very known to our community and it is necessary to create more awareness.”
