Segway company owner Jim Heselden dies after driving a scooter off a cliff

Sep 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Segway company owner Jim Heselden has died. He died in a freak accident when his scooter went off a cliff and landed into a river. He was driving a ‘country version’ of a ‘two wheels transporter’ on Sunday, when suddenly he flew off the cliff and landed into the Wharfe River. There are witnesses to the tragic accident. He was 62 years old. He was a very rich person said to be valued at $265 million.

He had acquired the Segway Company just a year ago. Prior to him, the owner of the company was Dean Kamen.

According to The Daily Mail, a spokesman of the company said that, “Police were called at 11.40 a.m. yesterday to reports of a man in the River Wharfe, apparently having fallen from the cliffs above.”

The vehicle, which he was driving when he died, was also discovered from the scene. The spokesperson of the company also divulged that at the moment, there is no reason to be suspicious of the death.

“It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Jimi Heselden has died in a tragic accident near his home in West Yorkshire,” according to Jimi’s company.
