SEBI for smoothening procedures of cross-listingApril 7th, 2008 - 9:45 pm ICT by admin
Mumbai, April 7 (IANS) Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) chief C.B. Bhave Monday said the market regulator was considering measures to streamline procedures of cross-listing of companies on bourses. Speaking to reporters here after delivering a lecture at a seminar on “India-Hong Kong Financial Sector Cooperation”, Bhave said as foreign companies were interested to be listed here and Indian firms were showing interest to be listed abroad, the market regulator has decided to streamline the entire process.
Bhave during his lecture urged the foreign fund managers and investment bankers to set up bases here.
“After all, Asia is the happening continent and the inflows are not just confined to the equity markets,” he said.
