Ramalinga Raju Mumbai, June 1 (IANS) Satyam Computer Services Ltd Monday announced the appointment of Venki Prathivadi as the new country manager for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
Satyam has also appointed Vijay Prasad as the principal adviser to the ANZ region, the company said in a regulatory statement.

Satyam has been embroiled in a $1.43 billion scam since Jan 7, when founder Ramalinga Raju confessed to having cooked the firm’s account books for years.

Prathivadi will direct all Satyam activities in the two countries, including customer relationship management, solution development, service delivery, sales and support.

Satyam operates major solution centres in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Prathivadi replaces Deepak Nangia, who has left the company.

“Satyam has established a prominent position in Australia and New Zealand in fairly short order. I am thankful for the opportunity to build on these strengths and lead Satyam to a new level of success,” Prathivadi said.
