SAS Tops The List Of 100 Best Companies Of 2010 By Fortune Magazine

Jan 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The list of 100 best companies of the year 2010 has been finalized by Fortune magazine after making a survey of around 343 companies of the United States. Like every year, the list has been formed according to the performance of the companies throughout the year. As per the reports, SAS, which is a software firm has claimed the number one spot this year by leaving some of the giant companies of the United States behind.
While SAS software firm has come up from the 20th position to number one place, the list indicates that some of the companies, that achieved good ranks last year, slipped down in the new list. Abode Systems, which last year was placed at the eleventh position of the list has failed to hold its position. It has been reported that in the new list of “100 best companies to work for”, Adobe Systems, has dropped down several places and is at 42nd position.
The number one company of previous year, NetApp, a data storage solution provider must have been disappointed after the list is declared. NetApp, which was awarded the top position last year, has fallen back several places in the new list and is at seventh position. It has been reported that Google Inc. is among the top ten companies of this year software while Microsoft is slated at the 51st position. According to the reports, the list of 100 best companies of this year is available on the website of Fortune magazine. Reports state that the name of these one hundred companies will be published on the February issue of the magazine, which would be available on news stands by the end of this month.
