SAIL quarterly net profit down 43 percent
February 13th, 2012 - 6:08 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Feb 13 (IANS) State-owned Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) Monday posted a 43 percent decline in net profit for the quarter ended Dec 31, which stood at Rs.632 crore against Rs.1,107.47 crore during the like period of the previous financial year.
Total income stood at Rs.11,112.49 crore during the quarter under review, down four percent compared to Rs.11,550.76 crore during the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing.
SAIL also said that its board has approved an interim dividend of Rs.1.20 per share of the face value of Rs.10 per share.
The date of payment of dividend will be Feb 20, 2012.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company closed 2.43 percent down at Rs.110.35.
