S. Venkat to head Air India’s finance department
December 13th, 2011 - 3:30 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 13 (IANS) National carrier Air India has appointed S. Venkat as its director of finance, an official said Tuesday.
“S. Venkat has been promoted as director of finance Air India. He knows the organization and its problems, and will be able to solve it,” a senior Air India official told IANS on phone from Mumbai.
“Venkat will be joining the Air India board soon,” he added requesting anonymity.
Venkat was holding the position of executive director finance and as company secretary for Air India before being promoted to his current post.
Meanwhile, the cash-strapped airline’s two key positions of director of human resources and director of commercial still remain vacant.
