S Tel launches WAP-enabled services in Himachal
November 1st, 2010 - 8:22 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Nov 1 (IANS) Mobile service provider S Tel Monday launched WAP and GPRS-enabled services for its subscribers in Himachal Pradesh.
The services are available under brand name ‘S Tel e. Life’ and ‘S Tel Adda’.
While WAP-based portal ‘S Tel Adda’ gives subscribers to enjoy free browsing, ‘S Tel e-Life’s’ subscribers can enjoy high speed Internet access not only on their phones but can also connect their mobiles to their computers or laptops to use Internet.
The Chennai-based company, which has unified access services licence and spectrum to operate, launched its services in the hill state in December last year.
The company is a joint venture between Siva Group and BMIC Ltd, a subsidiary of Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco).
