April 8, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): You may have to shell out cash for utilizing the toilet on a Ryanair flight in the near future. The CEO of Ryanair, Michael O’Leary, has enunciated that the air carrier is looking into the issue of fitting coin slots to the toilet doors of its aircraft.
The airline is negotiating with Boeing to set up coin-operated toilets and is also looking at diminishing the number of toilets on board. Their vision will leave just a single cubicle for up to 189 passengers. A Ryanair representative has mentioned to the Mail that the carrier wishes that the toilet fee will transform customers’ behavior. The representative has divulged that, by charging for the use of the toilets, Ryanair desires to alter passenger conduct so that they utilize the bathroom prior to or subsequent to the flight.
The suggestions are being debated enthusiastically on the blogs by the pilots in the industry. Some pilots have criticized the pronouncement as hyperbole. This pronouncement has ignited the deliberations among the pilots over whether the crew will also be required to disburse cash to utilize the toilets.
Toilet fee is not the only scheme that Ryanair has on its mind under its money-spinning scheme. The airline service provider has vocalized its tactics to elevate the luggage charges momentarily for the summer holiday season. The airline’s existing charges for carrying the luggage are £15, which is going to be moved up to £20 during the summer season. Ryanair’s spokesperson, Stephen McNamara, has proclaimed that 70% of the commuters won’t be impacted by these changes as they journey with no checked-in bags.
Conjectures are on over what Ryanair will charge for next. Some individuals have humorously stated that the next step of Ryanair will be to charge for using life jackets and oxygen masks.

From now on, I will pee in a cup and gladly hand it to the flight attendant.

This is disgusting. I understand that a company has to make a profit, but charging for toilets crosses a line. So if I don’t have a quarter I have to pee on the seats? And reducing the number of toilets to one is even worse. So even if I do have a quarter I may still have to pee on the seat!

Everyone should stop flying and see how much profit the airlines make. No fees or No Fly period!
