November 9th, 2009 - 11:41 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Nov 9 (WAM) The Royal Jet, a leading private charter jet company headquartered here in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has won the World Travel Award (WTA) for the third consecutive year, WAM news agency reported Monday.
Royal Jet CEO Shane O’Hare received the award from WTA’s president Graham Cooke at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority have also won the coveted award.
“Once again, I am delighted to be here to receive this award,” said O’Hare to those assembled. “It is, yet again, a clear indication of the high regard that Royal Jet has amongst its industry peers and is a clear endorsement of the hard work of all our staff and of the vision and leadership of our chairman, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nayhan.”
“We have now been in business for over six years; and as this award clearly shows, Royal Jet continues to set the benchmark for the global private jet industry in terms of security, safety and for exceptional service,” O’hare said.
“Our meticulous attention to detail in all these areas continues to pay off. Our business has remained profitable even during the global economic downturn and we have seen growth in our business of around 30 percent,” he said.
