Recall Alert: Johnson & Johnson Children’s Benadryl & Motrin!
November 24th, 2010 - 12:47 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonNov 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Johnson and Johnson has taken yet another blow and likely lost the confidence of even more customers as another recall of over the counter medicine for children is being recalled by the well-known company.
This time the recall involves both Children’s Benadryl Allergy Fastmelt Tablets (grape and cherry flavors)and Junior Strength Motrin Caplets (24 count) and although the medications are being pulled from the shelves of wholesale and retailers, the boxes which are in your medicine cabinet “should” not be affected.
This new recall is due to manufacturing issues which occurred at the now-closed Fort Washington, Pennsylvania plant. The packaging passed quality tests for both of these kid’s products, and there have been no side effects reported, but the internal reviews revealed “insufficiencies in the development of the manufacturing process” which led to the recall of four million children’s Benedryl packages, and eight hundred thousand Motrin.
A voluntary recall of Children’s and Infants’ liquid products manufactured in the United States, including Tylenol Infants’ Drops, Children’s Tylenol suspensions, Children’s Tylenol Plus suspensions. Motrin Infants’ Drops, Childrens Motrin suspensions, Childrens Motrin Cold suspensions, Childrens Zyrtec Liquid in bottles, and Childrens Benedryl Allergy Liquids in bottles was done earlier this year, and in Sep of ‘09, there was a recall of children’s liquid Tylenol.
