Rear Admiral A.K. Verma new Garden Reach CMD
November 2nd, 2011 - 6:50 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Nov 2 (IANS) Rear Admiral A.K. Verma, who has just retired from the Indian Navy, Wednesday took over as the new chairman and managing director of the Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Limited here.
Verma succeeds Rear Admiral K.C. Sekhar who retired October 31, 2011, according to a defence spokesman.
A graduate in mechanical engineering, Verma has over three decades of experience in maintenance of ships and aircraft while serving with the navy.
In his last assignment, Verma oversaw the inspection of all equipment being inducted for new construction of ships for the navy, the spokesman added.
