Dec.16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The president and Chief Executive Officer of Railinc, Allen West recently received the honor of the Outstanding Business Partner for 2009. The much coveted award was given out by the North Carolina Chapter of the Project Management Institute and reportedly the award was given to the top executive at a company meeting.

While reacting to the honor bestowed upon him, Allen West added that he appreciated the honor and at the same time pointed out the importance of the project managers in any company. He also highlighted the role of the Project Management Institute which gave essential training and support to such professionals. Meanwhile, the Outstanding Business Partner is presented every year to give recognition to project managers who have displayed impressive performance throughout the year and at the same time have contributed to the success story of their respective company.

However, Allen West being given the prestigious award does not come out as a surprise to anybody as he has an illustrious career of almost 25 years behind him, that makes him the right candidate to receive the honor. He had joined Railinc way back in 1999 as the vice president of information technology. Owning to his impressive performance since his joining, it did not take him many years to grab the top position as in the year 2006 he was named the CEO of the company. Moreover, Allen West is also known for playing an active role in the growth of project management professionals in North Carolina as he is also a member of the North Carolina Technology Association.
