Mumbai, March 14 (IANS) Pyramid Saimira Entertainment Ltd has entered into a strategic partnership with Britain-based Spize TV, a pan European direct-to-home (DTH) TV platform, for offering Asian content to viewers in Europe. Under the partnership, Spize TV will have an Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali and Gujarati and other language bouquet as well as a south bouquet in its network, comprising Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Sinhala and Malay.
P.S. Saminathan, managing director of Pyramid, said: “Spize TV is yet another giant step for our global entertainment strategy. With this we are now creating last mile access which will synergise and leverage our content significantly.”
The full-scale commercial launch of the channel for viewers in Europe will take place in phases this April-May.
With this new offering, Spize TV plans to target the 30 million strong European niche viewers across the region.
Spize TV will have both Viaeccess and Irdeto conditional access systems to allow a mix of channels including live international cricket matches played in India and Pakistan.
