Punjab National Bank quarterly net profit rises 3.46 percent
July 28th, 2011 - 4:35 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, July 28 (IANS) Public sector Punjab National Bank Thursday posted an increase of 3.46 percent in net profit at Rs.1,105 crore for the quarter ended June 30 against Rs.1,068 crore during the like period of the previous financial year.
Total income increased 36.95 percent to Rs.9,399 crore during the quarter under review as compared to Rs.6,863 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The gross non-performing assests has risen to 2 percent in the first quarter against 1.82 percent in the like period of the last financial year.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange the company’s shares were 0.78 percent up to trade at Rs.1,133.80.
