Protest hits rail services in Bastar

Raipur, Jan 17 (IANS) A protest launched by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of Chhattisgarh’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), hit rail services Tuesday in insurgency-hit Bastar region.
The BJYM stir seeking improved rail connectivity in the sprawling 40,000 sq km region entered the fifth day Tuesday as hundreds squatted on railway tracks in Bastar’s headquarters Jagdalpur town.
Train services has been severely hit for five days, a railway official at Jagdalpur told IANS.
