New York, Jan 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There was a poll conducted on the Americans and the result was that more Americans are of the view that 2010 would be a better year as compared to the previous year 2009. They are all seeing a silver lining in this year. Even though the fear is there that the US Economy might not improve that drastically, still majority of the Americans are of the view that 2010 would be a better year.
A whopping 82 percent are optimistic about what the New Year will bring for their families, according to the latest AP-GfK poll. Even though they are looking for a silver lining in 2010, they are still fretting about their finances. Nearly two-thirds of the people polled think that their family finances will worsen or stay about the same next year. And fewer than half think the nation’s economy will improve in 2010, even though Americans rated 2009 as a huge downer.
The poll also found that nearly 75% of Americans think that the previous year 2009 was a bad year for the country, as it was marred by job losses, home foreclosures and economic sickness. And a whopping forty-two percent rated the year 2009 as “very bad.”
