PML-N not in favour of breaking alliance with PPPJuly 5th, 2008 - 2:58 pm ICT by ANI
Karachi , July 5 (ANI): PML-N president and Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif has reportedly denied rumors of a breakup with the PPP over the restoration of the non-PCO judges.
He said the breakup of the alliance would mean once again strengthening the dictatorship in the country.
If the alliance is broken on the judges issue, it would be supportive of the dictatorship. It would not be wise for us to fight each other on the issue, the Daily Times quoted Sharif as saying at a press conference.
Sharif accepted that there were dissimilarities between the two parties on some issues but those differences are not between two enemies but between family members.
A dictator is attempting to destroy democracy in the country, he said and added We are both agreed on the point that if there are some differences in opinion they must be solved through negotiations, as non-political forces want to bury the democratic system.
He said that there was a conspiracy in President House against democracy. If there is inflation, it is because of the policies of the last government, he said and added: No politician would like make the people of his country miserable because he has to get votes. (ANI)
