PM says NCCC has no right to attepmt to remove governmentJuly 14th, 2008 - 9:28 am ICT by Amrit Rashmisrisethi
Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej yesterday criticized the media for being overly offensive to him, he elaborated that it was the reason he has chosen to speak to the public only once a week through his own television show.
The PM also stated that the 77 Senators seeking to remove his Cabinet through the National Counter Corruption Commission (NCCC) have sought an inappropriate venue as the NCCC is a non-elected body and did not have to swear an oath to the country’s monarchy and thus should not have the right to turn against his publicly elected body.
On the same matter, the Premier commented that the Constitution was drafted by people who have biases against his party and thus has many articles that enable it’s easy dissolution. He said that it has many articles that must be amended.
