Plane makes emergency landing to save passenger
October 18th, 2009 - 5:18 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Chennai, Oct 18 (IANS) An Etihaad Airlines flight made an emergency landing at the Chennai Airport here Sunday to save the life of a passenger who had suffered a heart attack while the plane was in midair.
The 55-year-old passenger Ismail flying from Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lumpur was immediately rushed to a private hospital from the airport.
According to airport officials, the pilot told the air traffic control about the critical condition of the passenger and sought permission for an emergency landing.
The flight took off after the passenger had been taken off for medical aid.
