Pilot project of computerised tracking of foodgrains started

This information was given by Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar during question hour in the Lok Sabha Tuesday.
He was answering a query by Congress member of parliament Rajkumari Ratna Singh on the reported diversion of foodgrains from the public distribution system.
“We are doing the project (on computerized tracking) on a pilot basis in three districts each in four states. The four states are Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chattisgarh and Delhi,” said Pawar.
He added that the implementation of the project was being done by Wipro group.
