Philippines’ retailer opts for Manthan’s analytics solution
February 2nd, 2011 - 11:54 pm ICT by IANSBangalore, Feb 2 (IANS) Leading Philippines retailer Robinsons has selected the retail analytics solution of Manthan Systems for its supermarket chain in the South East Asian country, the city-based IT firm said Wednesday.”Robinsons has chosen our business intelligence software product to improve its analytics, speed up transactional processes and enhance retail-vendor parternship,” Manthan chief executive Atul Jalan said in a statement here.
Manthan’s ARC supplier portal and analytics is a portal-based supplier-trade partner collaboration platform for exchanging information critical to key processes such as order management, master data management, vendor performance, inventory management, promotions, rebates and customer insight.
“Our platform enables retailers to reduce operational cost of tracking purchase orders and invoices and increase transparency in payments as against the conventional method of sharing purchase order with only suppliers,” Jalan said.
According to Robinsons general manager Jody Gadia, the IT solution will help the retail chain to have information on stock levels of products across its stores at any given time.
“Manthan’s analytics tool will also ease tracking of payment details online and make our trade partners to take proactive business decisions to improve our overall performance,” Gadia said.
As one of the largest multi-channel retailers in the Philippines, Robinsons operates department stores, supermarkets and malls across the country.
