Chennai, March 11 (IANS) The US-based $2.8 billion revenue Perot Systems Corporation is ramping up its Indian operations taking up additional space as well as building its own, a top company official said Wednesday.
“The company’s new 23,617 sq.ft facility in Chennai with a seating capacity of around 350 will be ready by the end of this month,” Vardhman Jain, managing director, Insurance and Business Process Solutions group, told reporters here.
With this, the company’s total head count goes up to around 7,000.
The new facility would serve Perot Systems client in healthcare and life insurance around the world.
In addition, Perot Systems will be building a new campus in Coimbatore where it owns 7.2 acres.
To be built in phases, the proposed campus in Coimbatore would house around 1,500 people after the first phase involving an investment of $10 million.
Perot Systems has facilities in Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore and Noida with operations that include IT applications, infrastructure and BPO.
