unemploymentPennsylvania, Nov. 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Addition of 10,100 jobs in the month of October, relieved many people in Pennsylvania but it did not have any positive effect on the economic condition of the state in whole. According to the reports of the sources, after July 2007, the state has not added so many jobs in one month and it was expected that this increase in job will have some significant effect on the sagging unemployment rate of the state. However, the results did not turn out as it was expected. Records state that the unemployment rate in Pennsylvania has remained constant at 8.8 percent and more than 6,000,000 people need jobs.

It has been indicated by the sources that the unemployment rate of Pennsylvania could have increased by the end of this year as there were several job cuts in the manufacturing sector. However, addition of more than ten thousand jobs in the state balanced the situation and helped the economic condition of the country avoid one more financial blow.

Sources stated that the leisure and Hospitality of the state added almost two thousand and four hundred jobs, which provided employment to a large mass. It was followed by openings in government sectors and financial services. Business and professional service sector as well as some other sectors also provided employment to seven hundred people. Though the state health sector employed people, the state manufacturing sector laid off almost 38,00 people, alleged sources. There were over one thousand lay offs in construction sector. Reports of job cuts also came from trade, information as well as transportation and utilities sector. Thus, in spite of multiple job openings, Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate did not reduce.
