PayPal co-founder & Tesla co-owner Elon Musk claims that he is broke

New York, Jun 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) PayPal co-founder Elon Musk has claimed that he is broke. He says that he has run out of cash, and asking people to help him out with some cash. It does seem an apt to go broke, because he is also in the midst of an ugly divorce with his wife. His wife Justine Musk wants a huge payout, but he is alleging that he himself is broke.
However he still has high value assets, as he is the co-owner of the electric car company Tesla. He owns around 65% of Tesla Motors, so his wife is now demanding that he give over his 10% stake in the company to her. According to court documents he was spending around $200,000 a month and he also said in a statement that he has been bereft of cash, since the last 4 months.
Tesla Motors was due to have an IPO offering soon, but with the ugly divorce battle on, there seems to be a shadow over it. However the company said to the Securities and Exchange Commission that, “We do not believe that Mr. Musk’s personal financial situation has any impact on us.” However after the IPO offering Elon would be a rich man once again.
