Pakistan oil firm runs up massive dues
November 5th, 2011 - 12:06 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Nov 5 (IANS) Government organisations like the national air carrier and the railways are among the customers who have run up Rs.168 bn dues with the Pakistan State Oil (PSO), a minister said.
Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Asim Hussain Friday told the Senate that the dues are worth Rs.168 billion.
Replying to questions, the minister said that PSO outstanding dues against government customers are 38.792 billion and Rs.115.684 billion against non-government customers.
He said that the government has chalked out a comprehensive plan to get rid of debt, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.
